Matariki- Maori New Year
Wednesday 17th June was Matariki- the celebration of the Maori New Year. The middle syndicate entered into the spirit of this special day by making poi, weaving, playing string games, making Matariki stars and performing rakau. Here is room 8 practising their rakau moves.
