Waitomo Caves

Welcome to WAITOMO CAVES!!!

Yesterday we had an amazing trip to the caves. It was the best day ever!

It was a long bus ride... but worth it!

Did you know:

-You can tell when glow-worms are hungry because their light will shine very bright - Ben

-It takes about 100years for about the size of the tip of your finger to grow on a stalactite or stalagmite - Oisin
-The caves were interesting and had a lot of History about them. - Sarah

-When a stalastalactite or stalagmite joins it is called a column - T.R

-When we breathe we are making caves by breathing carbon dioxide which makes acid and eats away at the ground - Mac

  1. You all know so many great facts. I wouldn't want to be a glow worm especially if my friends were hungry!
